LET’S TACO ‘BOUT A NEW CAREER OPPORTUNITY

Taco John’s and West Edge teamed up to create a recruitment campaign, encouraging people to apply for jobs at their local Taco John’s. They needed an engaging and dynamic animated video that could be used on their careers page and social media that explained why you should work for Taco John’s. Updates were made to some of their web pages that were a part of their career application portal. Table tents, tray liners, and badges were also created to support the recruitment efforts.

CHALLENGE

Taco John’s came to West Edge to create a campaign to encourage people to apply for a career with Taco John’s by showcasing all of the benefits that working for Taco John’s provides. We needed to create fun assets that were in-line with the company’s branding for their internal marketing and that appealed to a wide demographic of ages, genders, and ethnicity. 

 

APPROACH

In order to keep the campaign fresh and fun, we created and used a lot of characters based off of one of Taco Johns’ popular food items, potato oles. This allowed us to highlight the benefits of working at Taco John’s in a memorable way that was unique to the company. Creating this campaign also gave us a chance to review the career pages on the website and make improvements.

IMPACT

Taco John’s now has recruitment assets they are able to use when employees are needed at a location. With updated, more in-depth content about their benefits, along with real testimonials and photography, potential employees are able to get a better idea of what it is really like working at a Taco John’s franchise. Improvements to the UX/UI of the career pages, specifically finding Taco John’s locations and updating the application form, makes it easier for people to fill out an application to the correct location when they are ready to take the next step of potentially being hired.
